The upholstery trade is suffering. We have a skill shortage. We lose both our skill and population base because we cannot provide wages or profits on a par with Australia. Rick a network partner from Christchurch said that he lost two of his long standing highly skilled upholsterers to Australia last year after the February shake up! This is with upholstery being third on the list of skill shortages in New Zealand!
